The Braves aren't trying to build another Chris Sale. They're trying to build another outlier.
Phenomenal article. A prep pitcher I would think would be on Atlanta's radar is Sean Duncan out of Canada. Falls into this mold. Kid can really pitch, advanced approach for his age. Push money down the board and target this kid
Rojas fits this archetype also. If you want to underslot with ceiling at 9 he fits the bill
Another gem Lindsay. Thanks for the great content. What is his FB velo like with the changed arm angle?
He's sitting 94 and can touch 97 with pretty good extension, so it plays up like it's 96 and touching 100
Great article. Do you possibly have the movement on his slider/sweeper?
-11.6 horizontal, 4.0 vertical. Avg 81.9 mph, max 84.1
It's a true sweeper, and the horizontal release point makes it play up a bit.
Ya that’s really solid. I thought it moved less than that when watching him pitch but that’s probably just the angle. Really good.
