A terrific season overcoming perhaps more injuries than any of the other NL playoff teams. Great job by AA, the front office, Weiss and the coaching staff. And of course great job by the players. Let’s get the bullpen sorted and hope enough guys get hot in the playoffs.
"I wanted to say they know they’ll be playing in “October”, but since the first two games of the Wild Card round are September 29th and 30th, they could theoretically be done before the calendar hits October if everything goes wrong."
Lindsay! You bite your tongue!! LOL
FWIW, if we play Philly in a game 3 in the WC round, I'd probably start Perez on a very, very short leash.
Starters: Sale, Mahle and (I think) a combo of Holmes/Perez.
Relief: Fuentes, Dillon Dodd, Victor M, Kerr, and, of course, Izzie are your leverage arms (something's wrong with Dillon Lee; only use in blowout one way or another, etc.), (Suarez is an "unknown" going into Oct. so I don't see him on the list at all). Maybe Smith-Sharver, too
The 8: I really like WW honing this group down to the ones with "Big Mo" grouped together. Baldwin gets on; so does Dubon (at SS). I'd put them 1 & 2, respectively. Ronald 3rd in RF or DH when Murphy catches (left-handers only), otherwise Baldwin = DH. Harris 4, Olson 5 (if anyone is left on, maybe Olsen can hit one here). Now you're down to Yaz 6 (remember: 3 games only, go with the guy that's hot) Ozzie 7.
Bench would include (i) fastest guy remaining, (ii) Hicklen, (iii) Kim (only if we need Dubon elsewhere in the series). No Dom. He is obviously not in the "group" as he's been totally left out of Sept. I wouldn't be against leaving Kim off completely and using Jimmy Baseball as that back up instead.

Just feel like this team over achieved and the coaching staff made the difference.
And in a tough division with bigger market teams like Mets and Phillies.

There's no way for anyone to admit that I won't acknowledge the worst-case scenario.
