Although you walked around it gracefully, it was still "in your face" that Lopez issues started with "The Fight". Hey, these guys are not machines where an oil change and tuneup and you're ready for another 100 innings. I know this is "un-manly", but what about attempting to settle this issue between the two big boys? What about talking about what it might have done to his head?

Yeah, I didn't want to definitely say something happened there but that's the clear delineation point in his numbers. Whether it's mechanical, mental, or injury, we don't know but something needs to be done

So, so, agree. He's too good of a talent to let "go bad" because an effort wasn't applied when the symptoms like his arise.

If his arm is healthy...

That's my concern. As the treatment of elbow injuries has progressed, the treatment of shoulder injuries has advanced comparatively little. With Lopez velo staying down, my bet is his shoulder bothers him.

With his spin rates being down, it might be his hand.

You could be correct.

Very illuminating article; thank-you.

Kinley might just need a couple of off days. He's leaving the slider in the heart of the plate.
