Yes, AA has gotten the RH bat. He has gotten the SP innings eater. He has even gotten an left handed reliever. It's Monday at 4pm eastern as I type this. Just checked Twitter. No word on the SP2 to slot behind Sale if they want to have any realistic shot at beating the Dodgers. Could it happen in the next two hours? Absolutely! Will it? I'm beginning to have my doubts.

Thanks for the thorough run-down of the roster decisions. The best option would be to unload HSK by giving him away and having another team pay part of the remaining $20 million. Or release him and hope somebody claims him at some point before the end of the season. Either way, I can’t recall another player that has been signed in consecutive years to healthy one-year FA contracts that was released (or probably deserved to be) by the signing team. Braves breathing a huge sigh of relief they didn’t go for a multi-year deal.
Trade HSK even if you have to pay his salary. The money is a sunk cost, at this point. If you can get ANYTHING back for him, even a lottery ticket, it's better than DFA'ing him. If he doesn't get traded, I expect them to send Jarvis back to Gwinnett to "maintain organizational depth" and give HSK one more chance.
