Lindsay, I know more trades could be coming--but it seems like they are clearing out some of the rule 5 guys they would not be protecting like Braun and Molina--is this correct?
My jaw is still on the floor re the Skubal theft by the Dodgers. Now the Dodgers need to send a case of fine wine each Christmas to AA (for gifting them Freeman) and Detroit's front office for the gift of Skubal. What I'd like to know: was AA even in serious discussions with Detroit or did he just pucker at the thought of making a truly impactful, blockbuster trade while Chris Sale is still at the top of his game? I agree that Atlanta and several other teams could have offered Detroit as good or a better deal. The LA front office must be laughing their heads off.
If the Braves don't make a big acquisition and basically keep the prospects in place.......it will be very interesting what they could afford next deadline. I understand there are so many pitchers needing to be aded to the 40 man and so many of the prospects will be gone one way or the other. The prized picks in the 1-15 or 20 could really have some strong strong players. It will be interesting to see how the next 72 will play out. I am on the go ahead and over pay a bit for Skubal wagon, but only because I fell we will have more where that came from if we lose 1 or 2 in the top 4-12 range. 3 highly rated prospects? I am not sure. We will see.

That was the read I was getting too, yeah. Makes me wonder about Drue Hackenberg, specifically - he'd be next on that list
