Will you include Fuemtes for 100-120 innings in the options?

I do think that's the big Miss in the steamer projections, and I could buy that innings count from him. I just don't know how you structure a rotation expecting only that from him. Is he a 6th starter, used in relief if we don't need one for a stretch because of off days? Do you hope they give one more pitching spot in the new CBA?

Given the decline in innings thrown by starting pitchers, it’s hard to argue against adding a pitcher roster spot in the new CBA.

AA signed Mitchell Parker. So, there is your starting pitching acquisition for the offseason.

That was a waiver claim of a reliever who will be out until mid-season because of internal brace surgery, so I'm pretty confident they're not done

Nice! It will be like getting someone before the deadline without making a trade.

Seriously, I think everyone should know that Alex is going to find a way to not actually address things the way they should be addressed. It’s going to be more of the same. I mean, I’ll shave my beard if he actually goes out and signs Sonny Gray and/Kevin Gausman.

I fully expect him to bank on Tyler Mahle not regressing to what he is, and I’m sure he will hear a report that says either Strider and/or Schwellenbach are doing great from a health standpoint.

So, we will bank on Ray Kerr bridging some innings if needed. He will bank on Fuentes being a top 3 rotation arm when he should be a high leverage reliever until he develops the command of a third pitch.

We will continue to act like Grant Holmes is a starter.

Great project, Lindsay. Looking forward to your scenarios.

After watching the Brewers execute this post season (and be amazingly consistent over the past 10 years), I continue to have the feeling that the Braves are a comparatively flawed organization, typified by your apt phrase of 'whif-prone slug' to characterize their philosophy for building an offense. The Brewers work with far less money but invest in scouting and analytics and don't make bad decisions like Wil Contreras/Sean Murphy or Jared Kelenic. Even with less money, the Brewers don't have a CEO (McGuirk) who hamstrings the baseball front office by purchasing retail office space instead of baseball talent.

To be fair, the number of injuries to Braves pitchers has really hurt but the Brewers have dealt with injuries, also.

Maybe the rehiring of Dana Brown to the front office will help (a little).

I can’t wait to read the upcoming editions! I’m sure they’ll be oustanding.
