Like David, great article. 1. BUT you have one guy that AA spent $22MM for two seasons. Stuck with a 35-year old career .235 hitter for two years. 2. "Inconsistent" Eli White simply got NO PLAYING TIME with Snit and his identical 162-game lineup card, no matter the situation. Great time to say "You're up" and let him sink or swim after ample playing time. If he's not a good "substitute", cut him at the end of the year and try someone else next Spring. You don't have that option with Yaz.
They could. But one of the benefits to drafting SS's is they are often athletic enough to move to the OF if they can't stick at SS. I would prioritize the hit tool over the fact they're an outfielder at #9.
Solid article frames the situation. very well. You are spot on in noting there is close to a zero shit of making a trade at this point of the season.
Of the internal and external.options I would give Dylan Moore a slight edge because of his elite glove and positional versatility. Also keep in mind both our starting Middle Infielder s HSK and OA are both injury prone unfortunately. To me that's where Moore gets the slight nod over the better bat in Grichuk.
Grichuk can help as a bat against LHP as a corner Of. Moore can help at any position other than Catcher and can most importantly safeguard against further possible future injuries. (JMO)

You KNOW any article that starts out with a Don Zimmer quote is going to be fire!
…. Sorry obviously meant to type Dubon.
Excellent analysis. Vaughn Grissom? Seems to be healthy now.. can he become another Dimon?
John Gil, 19 year old shortstop for Rome, hit his 4th homer and stole his 19th base (3rd base) Sunday.
Southisene has similar numbers for Augusta playing 2nd.
Given the outfielder weakness in the High Minors i still think Braves tske college outfielder at #9
