Brilliant article, Lindsay. Replete with objective data and analysis plus subjective assessment. I am surprised and humbled that the Braves are 5th in bullpen spending. I agree that, regardless of the numbers, Johnson is a better investment than Bummer. Still, one question that nobody dares ask AA: how does he square telling us in January that the Braves' payroll would increase and then watching this dismal season unfold with a reduced payroll? I'm sure McGuirk has the answer but I'd still like to see one of them admit it.
My personal theory there is that the ownership suite pulled the rug out from under AA after he spoke to us. Problem is, he can never admit to that and Terry doesn't sit for interviews
That fits perfectly. Why am I not surprised that 'Terry' doesn't sit for interviews? I am a little surprised that AA allows himself to be in such a subservient role. I can't imagine Drombowski allowing himself to be minimized like that.
Thanks for the input. It's helpful to have my suspicions confirmed.
Awesome information Lindsay. Thank you. I just watched a Jim Riley at ballcap sports. I don't know if you seen it you probably have but he was bringing up possible Ronald Acuna trades. He picked out 10 teams that he thought would be interested in Ronald. Check it out if you hadn't. The majority of the teams were in the AL but four teams in the NL including the Giants Cubs Padres dodgers. He looked up value of Ronald at 47.5 million dollars. I'll respond to your post today in a bit. Thank you. Daniel

Didn't Toronto fire Alex A before he came to the Braves ?
I'll look it up.
I apologize if i'm wrong.
I was wrong. He left Toronto, even though they offered him a 5 year contact extension in 2015.
Spent 2 years with Dodgers.
Came to Braves 2017.
