Amazing as always! As for some feedback I love hearing your take on why the Braves do what they do. This front office is notoriously tight lipped and can make some head scratching decisions, so hearing your explanation makes it possible for fans to get a little glimpse behind the curtain. The decision not to pick up Johnson & Kinley comes to mind because after your breakdown I better understand the impetus behind those moves. Also love the deep dives into the Braves quarterly financials. Knowing how much cash is in the bank helps us somewhat manage expectations for payroll. Aside from that keep doing what you’re doing. I can never have enough Lindsay content!
I read these posts first thing in the morning and listen to the podcast everyday. I can confidently say that you give my favorite coverage of my favorite team. The mix of analysis and commentary is perfect as opposed to a lot of other podcasts and such that just say “this is the news.” The best thing about your show in my opinion is not just the unique coverage but the sense of optimism you give. Last season was not great but you didn’t spend most of it pouting. You gave unique takes on the goings on, future, and positives and I really appreciate that. Doom and gloom sells but you always gave a positive spin (besides when Ronald got his hurt calf) so thanks for that. Don’t do less pitching nerd stuff and more minor league content would be great for me. You know how to analyze and talk about prospects (which you won awards for!). Merry Christmas and thanks for all you do and making a bad season less upsetting.
You do a fantastic job leveraging modern analytics and applying them to the team and players. It’s the best source of information & insight I’ve ever seen, regardless of the media. I’ve also looked at a few other team information sources, particularly the Braves primary competitors, and Braves Today is superior. (Mets are entertaining because of the histrionics, but we don’t need that). Two requests: 1. More info on minor leaguers as you suggest, particularly focused on who’s ready & when. (I don’t think the national minor league ratings are particularly accurate or useful. Sick of hearing about Dodgers development… players developed by Tampa Bay contributed as much to their WS as did Dodger products. And Braves have had 2 RoY since their last one). 2. Perhaps a little more insight on opposing teams as they play the Braves.
You should be really proud of “Braves Today”. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Tom, on your final point, I think some sort of series preview would be a really easy way to get some of that. I used to do something like that over at SI and it was usually pretty well received.
Could maybe also do some sort of spring training divisional or opponent preview for the season?
Living outside the state of Georgia - not having social conversation revolve around MLB, "Braves", etc. - is frustrating. The lack of info from the team is frustrating. Therefore, being a Braves fan is frustrating. Your daily dose of REAL, MEATY info - as well as the opportunity to throw my two cents in - is incredibly fun. You have cured my frustration. Also, having to be a paid subscriber to comment is important. I made one comment prior to "paid subscription only to comment" just to have some jerk tell me how stupid I was and that my grandmother wore army boots. But since you began CHARGING: now its real fans and not some psychopath on steriods. I'm sorry I don't have time for the other forms of your communication, but your work in print is perfect for me.
Thank you for your deep dive it's so good and it always is. Very happy to be a subscriber and I will be for a long time. You have more information to anyone actually have narrowed it down to just you and Jake. And of course I can't watch the braves game so I listen to Mac on braves country radio He's just hilarious. I hope you have a safe safe and happy holiday.

"Braves Today: Real, meaty info" is going on the masthead when we create one.
Thanks, Michael.

Thanks for sharing this status. Very pleased “Braves Today” is going strong. I’m not surprised as it is outstanding.
