McGuirk loves to brag that the Braves are 'the envy of baseball' but the reality is we fans have to accepts that the Braves are a mid-level franchise which has to depend on catching lightning in a bottle to compete with well funded and well run franchises like the Dodgers and Phillies. I'm glad AA was allowed to make some real roster improvements this winter but, with the exception of Suarez, they are relatively small-time moves of a franchise desperately hoping for an entire injured SP rotation to magically return to their prior level (for an entire season and into the post season, no less! lol).
