Great article, as always!

Can you explain, "XX(B) free agents being able to opt out of their minor league deals five days before Opening Day."

I think I've got the gist of it. Just not familiar with the term "XX(B) FA's"... Thanks!

That's on me, sorry. An XX(B) free agent is someone who has six years of service time and finished last season on either an MLB roster or the 60-day IL. If they're on a minor league deal in spring, they have the ability to opt-out and become free agents unless the team adds them to the 26-man roster on three separate occasions:

Five days before Opening Day, May 1st, and June 1st

I'll add that to the article

Thank you, Sir, for the clarification. It's been a good day! I've learned something new! Thanks!

These reports are great! Any news on Fuentes? Any perspective yet on Heim’s performance behind the plate?

Need to start reading my newsletters more closely…. Seriously, all great info. Thanks!

I put the Fuentes note in this morning's newsletter, but he should be debuting soon. Was just behind in his early spring work after recovering from the shoulder issue over the winter

I need to see more of Heim behind the plate - a lot of his games have either been on the radio or I've been working and couldn't watch his receiving. It's on my list, though!
