Interesting idea. But whether Braves trade for Soler or anyone else comes down to how soon Murphy and HSK will be back as productive players. If team is confident they’ll be back by mid-May, I would sit tight.
I'd throw Jurickson Profar into the deal, preferably head first. The Angels can have his 2027 -- if there is one, and he doesn't flunk yet another drug test. Before Braun and Maier I'd first offer Dominic Smith or (trading high here) Ben Gamel, half a DH platoon so cost-conscious that Mr. Moreno won't be able to resist the package.
This is an interesting development as far as -- WWAAG? Where Will A A Go? I love your suggestion Lindsey and I love Soler. He would be a graat fit in the club house and would sit on the bench and DH against Lefties...otherwise he would mostly pinch hit. No biggie either way. But since you said, "Soler." AA has a way of only doing things no one else has suggested. AA tends to be very vain in this regard. So it has to be someone from the Korean league!
It's a hard no for me on Soler. He is unplayable in the field. You lose all the DH versatility you talking about liking all off season. Let's not go down that road again.
