You know what the biggest stunner was to me in your report? When I looked down at the next game and saw where Martin Perez has a better ERA than Zack Wheeler. If you had bet with me on that at the beginning of the season, you would be living in my house and driving my car.
Same amount of starts or the difference is one. Wheeler with his 30 million or so and Perez with his 1 million base. I am not saying this to say Wheeler is over paid. I am saying Perez has contributed like a big time 30 million dollar pitcher for the Braves. Yes, Perez has gotten lucky. The Braves have benefited. All those screaming for Bassist and others....Perez has been better than almost all of the free agent pitchers the Braves could have afforded. Didier in the pen and Perez in the rotation is a big part of what saved our season so far.
