DO NOT sign any Type A free agents. You sacrifice draft picks and International Pool Money.
Instead of overpaying in the free agent market, look for value among players with supposed "bad contracts" that can be acquired without giving up much prospect capital.
I keep thinking about Sonny Gray of St Louis and Luis Castillo of Seattle off the top of my head.
The only ideas i have for short and 2nd are minor leaguers Wadell and Conley. Probably not an inprovement.
Two things can be true at once, right? He is scuffling at the plate in a way he hasn't scuffled in a long time, but also, he is our best defensive catcher by far and is doing a good job of making his pitcher better.

Two thoughts:
1. It's becoming difficult to deny that Iglesias can still be an effective closer.
2. Sean Murphy looks completely lost at the plate, not unexpected for someone barely hitting
.200.
Yeah. But he's credited with turning Waldrep into a Major Leaguer when out Vaunted Pitches Coaces couldn't.
