Not buying it at all. Should have never sent Blazin Bryce out to the 8th inning

Weiss lost the game for Blazin !!! Bad Bullpen management. Damn shame !!!

Good summary of a painful loss. I agree with Elder as POG. Contreras had to go well below the strike zone for the pitch he hit for the killer HR.

Clearly Albies is having a much better year at the plate (so far) than last two years, and he has had s few big hits on balls well out of the strike zone. But his making the first out in the bottom of the ninth on a first pitch not even close to the zone showed a lack of discipline. It's like he hadn't even considered that a walk might be as good as a hit to start the inning. Lindsay, I wonder what data you have access to that might show his BA on balls he swings at that are outside the zone vs his BA on balls he swings at inside the zone. I bet there is a big difference.

I know the pen was short last night... we talked about it on the Friday night post cast... But Bryce should NEVER have been in there in the 8th inning! This loss is on Walt and the offense! Period. Hard stop. Mic drop.

We are getting nothing out of ReLo. This is from @b_outliers - Over the last 32 days (April 15th) Reynaldo Lopez has covered a grand total of 7 innings for the Braves. To illustrate how low a number that is, Iglesias has also covered 7 innings over that time span and he spent 15 of those days on the IL! It’s been almost nonexistent usage and yet, he's taking up a roster spot.

We're having to use a piggy back with Holmes. As I posted a couple of days ago, this is NOT sustainable. And it came back to bite us in the ass last night.

And this is from @scottcoleman55 - "And in the month of May, Aaron Bummer has thrown 4 innings. I know they're trying to protect the rotation but this isn't going to be sustainable for the bullpen much longer"

I would argue that it is already not sustainable... and last night's loss proves my point.
