Yes to all of it. Strider definitely got away with a few, though. The Wiemer lineout double play to end the fifth certainly comes to mind. That ball was 95 middle-middle and it wasn't missed.
You're quite right - he lapsed into middle-middle a couple times with, luckily, shots right at people. Nobody's perfect and even good hitters sometimes miss center cut - but if he can limit middle-middle to once or twice a game, he might be ok.
