I feel like Ronald’s issue has more to do with his timing than anything else. He’s still 94th%tile in xwOBA, 90th%tile in xSLG, 91st%tile in bat speed, and 92nd%tile in BB%. The issue is that while he’s 77th%tile in hard hit, he’s only 21st%tile in squared up percentage and is 24th%tile in whiff percentage.
His BABIP since coming off the IL is an unsustainable 0.174. He’s close to coming out of this though is his last 22 PAs are any indication.
