Bruce, your #2, below, took the words right out of my mouth. Acuna and Riley are HUGE disappointments. I hope Olsen and Harris are not drifting south - resembling past years and proving the first part of 2026 is just a "false positive". But the best hitter on this team is Drake Baldwin, far and away. And that: WHILE CATCHING! Just imagine what we could have had with Contreras, Longiliers AND Drake Baldwin! Of course, its exciting to see Albies so consistent, Dubon adding. But, this team must have Drake, as he barrels more balls (I'd suspect) than Riley and Acuna combined.

Yup - Drake seems to be the 'straw that stirs the drink'. Riley has been extremely frustrating but shows signs of some improvement. Acuna less so.

1. With bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, I was surprised Weiss didn't have Tromp try to execute a safety squeeze to try and tie the game. As I recall, Tromp had demonstrated his ability to bunt a few nights before, and any bunt attempt would have been better than watching him helplessly flail a two big time sweepers.

2. Drake Baldwin's absence from the lineup seems to be having an even more crippling effect than expected.
