The offense isn’t going to get rolling until Lindsay starts wearing his Braves hat collection on his podcasts. He was sporting a very impressive hat lineup earlier in the season when Braves were top 3 in RpG. The hats have disappeared and so has the offense. Coincidence? I think not.
Ozzie Albies certainly has had some big hits this year but they're infrequent and I'm tired of seeing him bat in the middle of the order. On the other hand, who else is Weiss going to put there?
While he has carried the team for much of the year, the offense's recent struggles are directly tied to Matty Olson's 2-3 week slump. He *seems* to be seeing the ball a little better, but the results still aren't there. I know we're a PROCESS OVER RESULTS group here, but at some point the RESULTS matter. The Braves offense will go as far as Matt Olson can carry them.
"He’s got the tools and athleticism to be an impact starter once the control returns; the problem is that’s typically a longer process than Atlanta has remaining in the 2026 season."
This is 100% correct. The answer is not AJ...at least not this year. It's Sale, Mahle and Holmes (on a short leash) or Perez (if the opponent struggles vs soft tossing LHP), unless ReLo impresses tonight. And honestly, that would surprise me.
Exactly, Bruce. Riley can't catch a routine grounder, can't tag a person out when he clearly has the ball prior to runner getting to the bag, hits .220 and he's still in there. What about Olsen? Currently one single every other game for the plodding guy who also is not fielding his position. Drake, Harris and Dubon, 1-2-3, then what? This teams momentum is gone and its mid-September. They get played into the ground during the "exhibition" regular season and are spent once October rolls around.

Gosh darn it, I hope this is not my fault. I'll get back to it tonight if that's the case
