Easy to root for Elder. He doesn’t deserve some of the vitriol directed at him. Good for him. btw… Bassit - 4.1 IP / 4 ERs. Maybe Braves front office doesn’t deserve some of the vitriol they got this off-season either.

CORRECT! A lot of Braves Nation would be a lot better off if they could simply acknowledge what Elder IS and what is ISN'T. He is a number 4/5 starter. He is not Chris Sale...but then again, most other pitcher's aren't Chris Sale either.

CORRECT AGAIN!
And while we're at it, if Lucas Giolito is "all that and a bag of chips" why has no other MLB club signed him? Does everyone else in MLB have all the pitching they need? I don't think so.
100% agree - review the 4/5 starters that went for clubs yesterday. No team has a completely healthy, proven arm 5-man rotation. Best result yesterday was Mike Soroka for the D’Backs. A guy I like to see do well.
Yes, also glad to see Soroka do well... I wish it had worked out in Atlanta. I also understand why it didn't and why the team decided to move on. Hope he does well every time he pitches... except against US! LOL
