We didn't lose this game because we gave up 3 runs. We lost this game because we didn't score but 1 run. Once again, our "aircraft carriers" played more like PT boats.

All season long we wrung our hands and gnashed our teeth over what AA didn't do in the offseason and what he didn't do, with the exception of Tyler Mahle, at the trade dead line... But the problem with this team for most of the year and certainly after the scorching start to the season has been the LACK OF CONSISTENT OFFENSE!!!

No, we are not eliminated, but even the most optimistic Braves fan thought we HAD to win the Sale start tonight. Yes, somewhere in the Metaverse the Braves will win game 4 and go back to LA and win game 5. But right now, I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for our chances with our offense.

What a let down. Most of my frustration is related to Acuna. Olson and Baldwin were lame too, but Ronald seems unable to grasp that being ready for a middle/middle fastball on the first pitch might be a good idea or that making a foolish ABS challenge in the first inning with the bases empty might have negative impact on the team later in the game. He hasn't had a clue all season and I blame Weiss et al for letting that continue. I am certain that with his inability to hit with RISP and poor plate discipline, if he were playing for Pat Murphy he would batting ninth or riding pine.

In games like this I'm always wondering what goes through AA's mind as he watches Freddie hit a clutch HR (almost his second of the night) and Olson flail away.

From the thrill of victory on Sunday to the agony of defeat on Tuesday. That’s baseball. So the Braves top guys didn’t come through. That doesn’t mean they won’t tomorrow. Glasnow gave up 13 runs in 22.1 innings in September. Let’s get to game 5 and see what happens.
