Let's break out the brooms tomorrow and sweep the Nats out of town! Go Braves!!

Serious question: In the over 150 year history of Braves baseball has any group of players been more unfairly maligned and criticized than the non-Chris Sale SPs of the 2026 Braves? Particularly Elder, Pérez, Holmes and Lopez. First it was “Elder can’t be on this team! Gives us Bassett!” Then it was “Sale and pray for hail”…it’s gone on and on. And all these men have done is take the ball, pitch and help this the team to build an 8 game division lead at the beginning of August. If the Braves go on and win the division… build ‘em a statute at Truist.

I think they've been good regular season starters.

I think they're not suited to get the ball in October.

I agree. But remind me… who pitched game 2 of the playoffs for the Braves last season?

Are you really that thrilled by Holmes and Lopez? Elder and Perez benefit from low expectations and a very very good bullpen. Right now the Phillies line up as our first round playoff opponents. Are you comfortable with a Sale, Elder, Perez rotation against them? I’m not.

I respect pitchers that take the ball and average less than 4 runs every 9 innings. The thrill comes when the offense averages more than 4 runs every 9 innings and the team wins. The Braves lost their projected 2-4 SPs before the weather turned hot. And this group stepped up and contributed to help the Braves to a solid division lead at the beginning of August. I don’t think they’ve gotten the respect they’re due.

Oh well, i see The white sox got Luis Castillo from Seattle.

I wondered if Braves were interested given his age and contract

That was truly fun watching runs scored and Perez pitch. Quick: send Jimmy Young back down and bring back Hernandez!!!
