Don't get me wrong! I love what Walt has done this season, but as was discussed on the post cast last night, Walt's aggressive management of the bullpen is a double-edged sword. It's great when it works, as it has most of the season to this point. That said, even when it works, you can wind up short-handed in the pen, like we will be tonight barring a roster move. That means that you absolutely need length from Bryce Elder tonight or an offensive explosion, which may a bit less likely with the Red Sox starting a left hander or you just need someone to just stand out there and take a beating.
I know we're going to get healthier when Waldrep comes back. I am confident that AA will add to the pen at the trade deadline. But I'm concerned that Walt's aggressive management of the pen COULD have long-term negative effects later on in the season. But make no mistake, these are First World problems that the Braves, and Braves fans, are happy to have as we currently sit atop of the NL East with a 9.0 game lead in mid-May!!
Brilliant bullpen management by Weiss but we need another high leverage arm in the pen. Lee's one bad pitch yesterday is excusable - he's been SO good. But, unfortunately, Kinsley's slider seems to miss more often. I would like to see what Karinchuk can do.
Good for Yaz. !!!
Good Didier !!!
Give Karinchuk a look-see.
How lucky we are we didn't sign the Puerto Rican Cockfighter, Edwin Diaz. Sometimes it's the one's who got away !!!

Do you think they’ll bring up Karinchak or Dodd for a fresh bullpen arm? Does anyone in the pen have options in addition to Fuentes?
