Thanks for the analysis on prospects the Braves have traded away since AA has taken over. I have the opposite of recency bias when it comes to trading prospects. The trades I remember are the mistakes, even those that happened a decade or more ago.
Seriously useful article, Lindsay. I fully realize to acquire a Skubal or a Ryan is going to mean some real pain - but having a team that has maintained a division lead all season, having most of the key offensive bats in their prime age, having a true Game-One guy in a healthy Sale, and with the realization that this combination is not likely to occur again for a while, I vote for going all-in. It could backfire - Skubal develops arm pain two weeks after he arrives, etc. Some risk has to be accepted to have a chance to get to the WS. If AA is able to get a true Game-Two guy then I will give him credit whatever the outcome. My greatest fear is his settling for a mid-tier guy while losing some young talent and being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Wow. Do you mean that Waldrep and Alvarez are not on ANY PROSPECT BOARD but ours? Is that because Braves call them prospects but since they have played in the Bigs no one else does? Lindsey, this was SUPER COOL.
Waldrep and Alvarez have graduated from eligibility, so that's mostly the reason.
And thanks! It's something I half-heartedly threw together last year, but spent some time last night codifying and applying a methodology to it to try and provide a valuable resource to our paid subscribers here.
Great job on the composite list.

Yeah, don't think i'd trade Hartman.
Maybe for Joe Ryan.
Even if you get Skubal, you're gonna wreck your Salary structure to keep him
“Holy overpay” Lindsay! You left out "Batman!" It's "Holy Overpay, Batman!" LOL

I don't see Glod on any rosters this year. $1.9 million mistake
Tavarez is at Columbus. Still not hitting enough. Probably at the end of his Braves career.
Glod was released this spring, yeah.
Tavarez isn't hitting in a repeat of Double-A and is probably done sooner rather than later.
