Yes, it would be noice to get Riley and Kim going before the off-season, but isn't there a 3rd guy at the bottom of tonight's order hitting .179 with an OPS of .566?
Fun fact - I originally had Sean Murphy in that section, but I realized that unlike one of the other two, they CAN make a lineup that doesn't include him.
What does getting Kim going mean? His batting avg is .119. His ops is .339. Is he going to doubles those numbers in the playoffs? Watching Kim play baseball proves to me that Scott Boras is the greatest agent ever. Do you think AA is going to sign up for another year at $20 million?
There's clearly not time for his full season numbers to rebound, no.
But if he makes some sort of change at the plate and then goes like 13-20 this week or something nuts, won't that make you feel better about potentially giving him an AB if you need to in October?
