So I finally get an explanation for the check swing monitoring - barrel 45 deg ahead of the knob. Good. I think check swings are as big a problem as balls and strikes - even less uniformity of calls among the umpires.
I am just not sure if there will be space for Nacho next season. Sure, we can option him but if we are going to put a young talent at short, I'd rather use Nacho in a deal to trade for someone like Lawlar.
The problem in a Jordan Lawlar deal with Arizona is the D-backs probably do not want Nacho coming back in the deal. His questionable batted ball metrics are worse than Blaze Alexander, who is penciled in as their current starter at 3B, comparing both AAA and MLB. Unless Nacho has made significant improvements (which will take me 2 hours to compile 100+ PA of batted ball data) in the AFL, the deal to get Lawlar will require the Braves giving up Didier Fuentes, JR Ritchie, or Hurston Waldrep.
